Nadeesha Ramanayake, a sprinter from Sri Lanka, won the gold medal in the women’s 400-meter race on Thursday (July 13) at the Asian Athletics Championship in Bangkok, Thailand.
The 28-year-old ran the sprinting event’s finals in 52.61 seconds to take first place.
Ramanayake excelled on Wednesday (July 12), winning the Women’s 400m Heats with a time of 53.06 seconds.
