The National Water Supply & Drainage Board (NWSDB) reports that today, July 15, some areas of Colombo would be without water for 14 hours.
The following areas are consequently impacted by the water cut: Colombo 01, 02, 03, 04, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15.
According to the NWSDB, the water supply to the aforementioned locations is cut off between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
Meanwhile, due to necessary maintenance at the Sapugaskanda power plant, the water supply to the Biyagama Water Treatment Plant will be cut off for eight and a half hours on Sunday, July 16.
As a result, the proposed water cut between 8.30 a.m. and 5.00 a.m. will have an impact on the Peliyagoda, Wattala, Ja-Ela, Katunayake, and Seeduwa Urban Council regions as well as portions of Kelaniya, Wattala, Biyagama, Mahara, Dompe, Katana, and Minuwangoda Pradeshiya Sabha districts.
