President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi are currently having private meetings at the Hyderabad House in New Delhi.
The Head of State is now in India for a two-day official visit at Prime Minister Modi’s invitation.
Last night, July 20, President Wickremesinghe landed in India. He was welcomed by Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan.
He is making his first trip since taking the presidency. This year, both nations are commemorating the 75th anniversary of the start of diplomatic relations, which coincides with the visit.
President Wickremesinghe will also meet with President Droupadi Murmu and other dignitaries during the visit.
