The Railway Engine Drivers’ Union announced that four office trains planned to run on Tuesday morning (25 July) have been cancelled.
The four trains were cancelled, according to the union’s chairman Chandana Lal, since the assistant engine drivers did not show up for work this morning.
As a result, office trains that ran between Colombo Fort and Rambukkana Polgahawela and Gampaha were cancelled, which caused the passengers much inconvenience.
