Several labour unions are currently holding a demonstration in front of the Colombo Fort Railway Station.
A Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court injunction barring various trade unions from entering particular locations and roads in Colombo Fort was issued earlier today (July 25).
According to a court order, protesters were prohibited from entering the President’s Secretariat, the Presidential Residence, the Finance Ministry, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, Olcott Mawatha, York Street, Bank Street, Lotus Road, Chatham Street, etc., as well as from damaging any public property.
