Due to necessary maintenance work being performed on the Ranpokunagama and Kirindiwela water supply systems today (July 26), several areas of the Gampaha District will not have access to water for a period of over 10 hours.
The water cut is in effect from 8.30 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to the National Water Supply & Drainage Board (NWSDB).
This water cut affects the communities of Pugoda, Kirindiwela, Ranpokunagama Housing Scheme, Wathupitiwala, Maimbula, Maduwegedara, Urapola, and Attanagalla.
Due to necessary repair work on the Akkaraipattu water supply system, the NWSBD has imposed a 9-hour water cut for portions of the Ampara District from 4:00 AM to 1:00 PM today.
As a result, the water supply to the areas of Akkaraipattu, Irakkamam, Addalachchenai, Oluvil, and Palamunai is shut off during this time.
