In the second Test against Sri Lanka at the SSC, Pakistan declared their first innings with a lead of 410 and a score of 576 for 5.

Pakistan was supposed to declare overnight, but captain Babar Azam gave Agha Salman and Mohammad Rizwan two overs to bat before ordering his team to bat again.

In the second over, bowled by Prabath Jayasuriya, Rizwan struck three boundaries to reach his fifty, after Salman had played out a maiden in the opening over.

Azam quickly made his declaration, sending the home team back to the plate with a huge deficit to make up.
