The portfolios of various ministries have been changed as a result of a special gazette notification issued by President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
The National Equipment and Machinery Organisation and Sahasya Investment Ltd. are now overseen by the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilisation & National Policies, respectively, after previously falling under the jurisdiction of the Ministries of Transport & Highways and Urban Development & Housing.
The Minister of Plantation Industries will no longer be in charge of the maize cultivation needed for Thriposha production and animal feed inside the nation; instead, the Minister of Agriculture will be in charge of it. The modifications had a Monday, July 31st, date.
