A protest march that is scheduled to take place today will not be able to enter specific areas of Maradana due to a directive from the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court.
A court order has allegedly been issued against 11 respondents, including journalist Tharindu Uduwaragedara, parliamentarian Sarath Fonseka, and Venerable Pagoda Vijithavansa Thera.
The demonstrators are prohibited from entering or marching along Deans Road, Maradana Road, T.B. Jaya Mawatha, Technical Junction, and other locations in and around Maradana by the court order that was given in response to a request from the Police.
