Indonesian links with the Miss Universe organisation will no longer be maintained.
This is as a result of claims that a Miss Universe competitor asked a local organiser for a sexual favour.
The tournament that was planned to be conducted in Malaysia has also been cancelled as a result.
Six Indonesian contestants who participated in the Miss Universe competition also reported to the authorities.
They claimed that the organisers had brought them into a room with a lot of males and instructed them to take off their pants for a ‘body check’.
