The High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Kenya, Kananathan, and the Prime Cabinet Secretary of Kenya, Musalia Mudavadi, successfully convened a meeting to further their countries’ shared interests in trade, investments, and sectoral collaboration as a key step towards improving bilateral ties. The talks emphasised both countries’ dedication to fostering successful alliances for their populations and economies. The meeting, which was conducted at the Prime Cabinet Secretary’s Office, demonstrated both countries’ commitment to fostering their relations for their mutual benefit.
In addition to praising Kenya’s remarkable economic development, High Commissioner Kananathan underlined Sri Lanka’s strong desire to expand bilateral collaboration. He emphasised Sri Lanka’s advantages by pointing out the active participation of Sri Lankan businesspeople in a range of Kenyan industries. The involvement of Sri Lankan entrepreneurs in significant Kenyan economic sectors was one of the discussion’s primary themes. He emphasised that Sri Lankan businesspeople were already making a significant contribution to Kenya’s growth, notably in fields like clothing manufacturing, renewable energy, tea manufacture, infrastructure, and trading and manufacturing of tea.
