Keheliya Rambukwella, the minister of health, has given the go-ahead for urgent action to be taken to add 3,000 more nurses to Sri Lanka’s nursing workforce.
If a problem arises over the matter, the minister has instructed the ministry’s secretary to produce a cabinet paper.
These directives were given by Rambukwella during a meeting that the officials involved in the Sri Lankan nursing service recently (29) attended at the Health Ministry.
