Tomorrow, numerous areas of the island will see the sun directly overhead, according to the Department of Meteorology.
The Met. Department had already noted that this year, from August 28 to September 7, the sun will pass directly over the latitudes of Sri Lanka due to its apparent southern relative motion.
Accordingly, tomorrow at 12:09 p.m., the closest Sri Lankan towns where the sun will rise are Bambalapitiya, Maliboda, Keppetipola, Badalkumbura, and Pottuvil.
Meanwhile, according to the department, the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Central, and North-western provinces will occasionally see rains or thundershowers.
