Sri Lanka seeks investors for electric bus venture

Purchasing 200 electric buses for use in the Western Province has been approved by the government, according to Bandula Gunawardena, minister of transportation, highways and mass media.

According to the minister, an expression of interest has been requested for this project, which will be carried out as a domestic and international joint venture.

“Charging stations may now be installed by the investors. Investors would be permitted to run the enterprise and recoup their investment. After that, the government will eventually acquire ownership of the buses within a specific time frame. Any nation, including China and Korea, may submit an application for this project. He added more information, calling it an investment opportunity.
