Acting Deputy Director General of Health Services, Dr. G. Wijesuriya, has emphasised that strict action will need to be taken against physicians and other medical staff members who miss work without authorization.
A chaotic scenario has developed at the Embilipitiya Base Hospital, according to information that was made public on Tuesday (Sep 05), since the hospital’s anaesthesiologist has not reported to work since last Friday.
Dr. Wijesuriya said this at a news conference that took place in Colombo today (06).
