The supply of four shipments of Petrol 92 Octane to Sri Lanka has been contracted to Singaporean energy business “Vitol Asia.”
In order to secure a long-term contract for the procurement of four shipments of Petrol 92 Octane over the course of four months, from 21 September 2023 to 21 January 2024, bids were requested from suppliers registered under the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC).
Despite receiving four bids, the Cabinet of Ministers on Monday authorised the proposal put forth by Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera to award the pertinent procurement to the Singaporean company in accordance with a recommendation from the Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee.
