This morning, September 13, President Ranil Wickremesinghe departed for Cuba to speak in the G77+china Leaders’ Summit.
The summit, which will be held in Havana on September 15 and 16, 2023, with the topic “Current Development Challenges: Role of Science, Technology and Innovation,” is expected.
President Miguel Diaz-Canel of Cuba sent an official invitation for President Wickremesinghe to attend the conference.
President Wickremesinghe intends to have private talks with his Cuban counterpart outside of the summit to advance bilateral ties between the two nations.
