We, All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama (ACJU), are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of life and the destruction caused to properties by the catastrophic flooding breaks dams and sweeps away homes in the Northeastern Libya on 10th of September 2023.
We pray for those effected and convey our deepest sympathies and condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this flooding disaster. And we pray for those injured for a speedy recovery.
The thoughts and prayers of the Islamic Religious Scholars, the Muslim community and the people of the Sri Lankan Nation are with those have been affected and pray that they are blessed with the strength and courage to overcome this difficult situation. We strongly believe that the effected region in the Kingdom of Libya will recover from this catastrophic situation rapidly and emerge stronger.
This an opportunity for individuals and institutions, blessed with gracious hearts, globally and locally to extend possible humanitarian assistance to those affected, which is appropriate to be directed through authorized official channels.
May Almighty Allah help and protect the people in the region, compensate their losses with abundant goodness and bless those affected with tranquility and restore normalcy.
