According to the Minister of Labour & Employment of the Republic of Korea, Lee Jungsik, South Korea would continue to promote the hiring of Sri Lankans by expanding chances for qualified workers who are fluent in Korean.
According to Minister Lee Jungsik, South Korea has increased hiring of Sri Lankan workers by a factor of two this year.
The comments were given by the South Korean Minister at a meeting with Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena yesterday (Sept. 14) at the Temple Trees.
A delegation of high-ranking officials as well as Korean Ambassador Lee Miyon attended the meeting, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.
The Korean government provided considerable development aid for a number of areas, including health, agriculture, education, and information technology, which was acknowledged by Prime Minister Gunawardena during the meeting.
