Eight people have been accused by the ICC with repeated violations of the anti-corruption rule in sports.

Former Bangladeshi international Nasir Hossain is among a group of athletes and officials charged with a series of charges connected to the 2021 Abu Dhabi T10.

Saliya Saman, a former first class cricketer for Sri Lanka, is also among those accused.

EIGHT CHARGED UNDER THE EMIRATES CRICKET BOARD ANTI-CORRUPTION CODE

Eight players and officials have been accused by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on behalf of the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) with violating various provisions of the ECB Anti-Corruption Code for Participants for the T10 League (the “Code”).

The accusations concern the 2021 Abu Dhabi T10 Cricket League and attempts to rig games in that competition, which were thwarted. For the purposes of the ECB’s Code for this competition, the ECB designated the ICC as the Designated Anti-Corruption Official (DACO), and as such, the ICC issuing these charges on the ECB’s behalf.
