On the eve of the 78th UN General Assembly, President Ranil Wickremesinghe met with Nepalese Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal in New York on Tuesday, September 19.
According to the President’s Media Division (PMD), the Sri Lankan president said during the meeting that the island nation is eager to broaden its fields of collaboration in order to transform its long-standing connection with Nepal into a dynamic political, trade, and business partnership.
He added that the initial meeting of the Nepal-Sri Lanka Joint Commission, which is slated to take place in Kathmandu at the end of the year, would be a significant step.
