According to the National Water Supply & Drainage Board (NWSDB), the water supply for some areas of Colombo would be cut off from 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, till 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 24.
As a result, the 12-hour water cut will affect Colombo 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15.
The necessary repair tasks outlined in the Ambatale Water Supply System Improvements and Energy Saving Project led to the water shutoff.
