Sri Lanka has announced that it has ratified the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT), reiterating its steadfast commitment to nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation.
On Thursday, September 21, Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organisation (CTBTO) held a press conference in conjunction with the EU Article 14 Conference on the CTBT. Foreign Affairs Minister Ali Sabry attended.
Speaking at the press conference, Minister Sabry said that Sri Lanka’s official ratification of the CTBT in July 2023 is in line with the nation’s long-standing and steadfast policy on nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation.
