The largest oil and gas business in Asia, PetroChina International, has received a contract to send four shipments of diesel to Sri Lanka.

For a long-term contract to buy four cargoes of diesel for the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) over the course of four months, from November 1, 2023, to February 29, 2024, bids were requested.

The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal made by Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera to award the relevant procurement to PetroChina International (Singapore) on Monday, September 25, despite the fact that five bids had been received. This recommendation came from the Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee.

A purchase contract for the provision of four shipments of Petrol 92 Octane to Sri Lanka for four months, from 21 September 2023 to 21 January 2024, was given to the Singaporean energy business “Vitol Asia” earlier this month.
