The ‘Amber’ flood warnings issued for Nilwala, Aththanagalu Oya, and Gin Ganga have been further extended by the Department of Irrigation for an additional 24 hours till 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday (Oct. 03).
In light of this, the people of the relevant areas are urged to pay close attention, according to the Department of Irrigation.
It is urged that residents of these locations and drivers going through pay close attention to the current bad weather conditions. Authorities in charge of disaster management have been asked to take the necessary safety measures in the interim.
