Nobel Prize goes to science behind mRNA Covid vaccines

The two researchers who created the technology that resulted in the mRNA Covid vaccinations received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.

According to the BBC, Dr. Katalin Kariko and Dr. Drew Weissman will split the award.

Prior to the epidemic, the technique was unproven, but it is now available to millions of people worldwide.
