According to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka earned over USD 1 billion in export revenue in the month of August 2023, making it the biggest export revenue month of this year.
As a result, export earnings totaling USD 1,119 million were reported for the month of August 2023.
However, this value is 8.7% less than the export revenue obtained in August 2022 when compared to the previous year.
The overall export income from January to August 2023 was USD 8,010 million, which is 10.1% less than the income received during the same time period in 2022.
