Today (October 3), the much-discussed Online Safety Bill, which has drawn criticism for some of its problematic elements, is scheduled to be introduced to the parliament. The meeting started at 9:30 am.
However, according to Minister of Justice, Prisons Affairs, and Constitutional Reforms Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, the planned Anti-Terrorism Bill would not be introduced in the parliament today.
Elections (Special Provisions) Bill (Second Reading), Civil Procedure Code (Amendment) Bill (Second Reading), Regulations under the Mediation (Special Categories of Disputes) Act, and Order under the Judicature Act have been set for debate from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
