Because to a trade union strike in response to an assault incident, the Department of Railways has warned that trains departing from Maligawatta Railway Yard may be delayed.
As a result of an alleged altercation between one of the railway controllers’ coworkers and a worker at the Maligawatta Railway Yard, the railway controllers declined to visit the yard, citing safety concerns.
However, the railway officials and the union leaders have had a conversation about this.
