According to the University Grants Commission (UGC), today (05) is the final day to submit an application to register in a state university for the academic year 2022–2023.
Starting on September 14, 2023, applicants who met the requirements for admission to state colleges had three weeks to submit their applications.
Accordingly, the UGC Chairperson, Prof. Sampath Amaratunge, stated that the deadline for the acceptance of applications will not be extended further.
On September 4, 2023, the results of the G.C.E. Advanced Level exam for 2022 (2023) were made public.
A total of 31,136 private applicants and 232,797 students from schools had taken the 2022–2023 Advanced Level test.
Amith Jayasundara, the commissioner general of examinations, reports that 17,451 private applicants and 149,487 school applicants have both been admitted to universities.
