Nearly 800,000 schoolchildren will receive vouchers totaling Rs. 3,000 to purchase shoes, according to Minister of Education Susil Premajayantha.
The Minister reportedly stated that the vouchers would be given out within the next two to three weeks, according to a statement from the Ministry of Education.
He added that kids with financial challenges would receive this money.
In the next year (2024), it would be further enhanced, Minister Premajayantha stated.
The education minister also disclosed that beginning in the following academic year, the educational system will undergo a number of modifications.
