According to the President’s Media Division (PMD), preparations are being made to remove the current pedestrian flyover and build a temporary accessway at the Bambalapitiya railway station within ten days in accordance with the President’s directions.
The President has also given the go-ahead to build a new overhead pedestrian bridge in five months.
According to the PMD, the project has been given to the State Development and Construction Corporation under the direction of the Road Development Authority (RDA).
