Today (11), according to the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA), doctors from all around the island will take part in a protest.
Media Dr. Chamil Wijesinghe, the association’s spokesman, said that the protest movement was organised in response to the government’s refusal to address the problems faced by doctors.
Kavinda Jayawardena, a member of parliament, revealed that he had complained to the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption about the lack of a probe into the import of subpar medications.
