Despite the earth slip that was reported on Wednesday night (October 11), Sri Lanka Transport (SLTB) has stated that buses travelling on the Southern Motorway are functioning as usual.
In light of this, the SLTB noted in a release that although highway buses are currently running as usual, vehicular flow is still impeded between the Pinnaduwa and Imaduwa interchanges as a result of the earth slip.
However, buses travelling into Colombo must leave the Southern Motorway at the Pinnaduwa Interchange before returning to the road at the Imaduwa Interchange.
As a result, drivers accessing the Southern Motorway from Galle are advised to exit at the Imaduwa intersection, while those entering from Colombo are advised to exit at the Pinnaduwa interchange.
