According to the Sri Lankan Embassy in Tel Aviv, the names of the two Sri Lankan women who were detained two days ago by Israeli and Jordanian border guards while attempting to enter Israeli territory illegally from Jordan have been verified.
According to the embassy, the two women in question are J. A. Chamila Thushari, 50, and K. A. Sriyani Manjula Kulatunga, 44.
It has been announced that the two Sri Lankans would be returned to Jordan because they unlawfully entered Israel over the Jordanian border.
However, according to Nimal Bandara, the Sri Lankan ambassador to Israel, the two embassies would coordinate efforts to ensure their mutual safety and future affairs.
