During an official meeting with Indonesian President Joko Widodo in Beijing today (17), President Ranil Wickremesinghe emphasised the need to strengthen the Indian Ocean’s identity in order to strengthen the political, economic, and cultural ties between Sri Lanka and Indonesia.
To take part in the Belt & Road Forum for International Cooperation, both leaders are in China. The two presidents held lengthy discussions about how to further improve the political, cultural, and economic connections between their two nations during their meeting.
The PMD stated that they also discussed how the palm oil prohibition and the economic crisis will affect trade between the two countries.
