On Thursday, November 2, a group of eleven Sri Lankans left the war-torn Gaza Strip and crossed the Rafah border into Egypt, according to the Representative Office of Sri Lanka in Palestine.

Bennet Cooray, the Sri Lankan envoy to the State of Palestine, reports that the delegation is currently lodging in an Egyptian hotel.

He said that the Sri Lankan Representative Office in Palestine is currently taking the required steps to make it easier for this group to return home.
