For school supplies, the State Printing Corporation (SPC) is running a discount plan.
A thirty percent discount will be given for school exercise book purchases, according to SPC Chairman Nimal Dharmaratne.
He stated that the discount scheme was introduced yesterday and that it can be redeemed at the SPC headquarters or any of its sales locations.
Dharmaratne went on to say that this discount can be obtained by a representative who has a letter from the principal of the school.
He said that in order to compete with the workout books now on the market, these books are made with a well-finished cover and 60 GSM paper.
Susil Premajayantha, the Minister of Education, proposed the discount initiative for school supplies after hearing appeals from principals of schools.
