The names and roles of the recently appointed Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Interim Committee members have been gazetted by Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe.
With the authority granted to him by Sports Law No. 25 of 1973, Ranasinghe created a seven-member Interim Committee for Sri Lanka Cricket today (06). Arjuna Ranatunga, a former captain of Sri Lanka who won a World Cup, would serve as chair of the committee.
As a result, the Extraordinary Gazette was published, designating the Interim Committee to oversee operations until further notice or until an election is held, and suspending Sri Lanka Cricket’s registration as of yesterday, May 5.
Members of the Interim Committee:
1) Hon. S. I. Imam, Retired Supreme Court Judge
2) Hon. Rohini Marasinghe, Retired Supreme Court Judge
3) Hon. Irangani Perera, Retired High Court Judge
4) Mr. Arjuna Ranatunga (Chairman)
