Once a significant source of income for the nation, the spice sector has been called for to be revived through a comprehensive programme by President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
According to the President’s Media Division (PMD), the Head of State advocated the creation of a proper plan for the industry’s rebirth and stated that the government is willing to offer the required support during his speech at the 19th Annual General Meeting of the Spice Council.
The President emphasised how crucial it is to unite the private sector in order to quickly implement the programme.
