The first round of virtual bilateral political consultations between Sweden and Sri Lanka has involved top officials.
On November 9, the eve of the 75th anniversary of the two nations’ diplomatic relations’ founding—which will be commemorated in 2024—consultations were held.
The discussions centred on finding new opportunities for more collaboration as well as strengthening the already complex alliance.
The key topics of discussion included strengthening the bilateral collaboration in ICT, Science and Technology, Climate Change & Environment, and bilateral economic partnership. The two parties discussed working together in multilateral forums as well.
