The five directors of the business “OnmaxDT,” who were detained on suspicion of running a fraudulent pyramid scheme, are to be released on bond, according to a ruling from the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court.
Prasanna Alwis, the Chief Magistrate of Colombo, made this directive during the case’s hearing today, November 16.
In light of this, the Chief Magistrate imposed a bail requirement requiring the suspects to report to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on the final Sunday of each month, in addition to ordering the release of each suspect on three surety bails of Rs. 10 million each.
