The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) reported that the unexpected failure of the Ambatale treatment plant’s electricity has caused the water supply to be cut off in a number of districts within the Western Province.
Consequently, the water supply has been cut off in the following places: Maharagama, Boralasgamuwa, Kolonnawa Urban Council; Kotikawatta Mulleriyawa Pradeshiya Sabha; Ratmalana and Katubedda; Dehiwela – Mt. Lavinia; Kotte and Kaduwela Municipal Council areas; and so on.
Nonetheless, the NWSDB guaranteed that the required repair work is presently underway.
