Presidential Election : Fake ad targeting Dhammika Perera?

Date:

The office of businessman Dhammika Perera states that the newspaper advertisement published last Sunday regarding his presidential candidacy, has no affiliation with him.

The Ad is claimed to be from a company which is owned by Dhammika Perera, but a spokesperson clarified it is unrelated to the businessman or his companies.

The spokesperson emphasized the importance of media institutions verifying authenticity before publishing advertisements to prevent potential public misinformation.

The SLPP recently announced that MP Dhammika Perera is one of four candidates under consideration for the 2024 presidential candidacy.

However, this incident shows that the Presidential Election expected in 2024 is already heating up with various election-related campaigns
