A special dengue control program has been initiated ahead of the upcoming 2023 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination in January 2024.
The president of the Health Entomologists’ Association, Nijith Sumanasena said the dengue control program will be conducted at all examination centres across the country until December 31.
The exam is scheduled to be held from January 04 to 31.
Mr. Sumanasena said that the showery conditions are gradually easing off, creating an environment conducive for dengue mosquito breeding.
Meanwhile, conducting tuition classes targeting the A/L Examination will be prohibited from midnight on Friday (Dec.29) until the end of the exam. Accordingly, conducting tuition classes, seminars, workshops, and other related activities targeting the examination will be suspended.
