A 29-Year-Old Inmate from Kottawagama Passes Away at Galle Prison Due to High Fever
Tragedy struck Galle Prison as a 29-year-old resident of Kottawagama, imprisoned since last December for his involvement in a robbery, succumbed to an illness. The inmate, who was hospitalized with a high fever, breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Karapitiya Teaching Hospital.
This unfortunate event follows closely on the heels of two recent deaths at Matara Prison, where inmates fell victim to suspected meningitis.
