A Buddhist monk has been shot dead at a temple in the Gampaha District, the Police said.
According to the Police, the deceased monk has been identified as 45-year-old Venerable Kalapaluwawe Dhammarathana Thera.
The monk is reported to have been killed in a shooting at the Malwathuhiripitiya Kahatana Temple in the Gampaha District.
