A Russian military transport plane crashed in the Belgorod region near Ukraine’s border, as reported by Russian state media.
The Defence Ministry confirmed the incident involving an Ilyushin Il-76, amid recent Ukrainian missile and drone attacks in the area.
Video footage showed the aircraft exploding in a fireball. Regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov altered his schedule due to the “incident,” and investigators are on-site. The Kremlin is investigating the reports.
