A massive fire in Mawanella last night has razed approximately 30 shops near the main bus stand.
The blaze, whose cause remains unknown, was subdued by the police, Mawanella Pradehsiya Sabha fire brigade, and local residents.
The affected shops included those selling fruits, textiles, and plastic goods.
Investigations are ongoing, led by the Mawanella Police.
