Sri Lankan cricketer Pathum Nissanka achieved a remarkable milestone today, becoming the first player from the nation to score a double century in One Day International (ODI) cricket.
Nissanka’s exceptional performance saw him score an unbeaten 210 runs off just 139 balls against Afghanistan, guiding Sri Lanka to a formidable total of 381 runs in the first ODI.
His achievement places him alongside cricket legends such as Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma, and Chris Gayle in the exclusive club of batsmen who have surpassed the 200-run mark in ODIs.
